DES 1840 Preventive Dentistry

In this course, students learn the dental auxiliary’s role in patient care. Students discuss the philosophy of preventative dentistry and methods of plaque (biofilm) control in conjunction with patient education. Students study tooth stains, discolorations, hypersensitive teeth and fluoride.
