DEH 2804L Clinical Dental Hygiene III Lab
In this course, students provide individualized evidence-based care planning for the periodontal and special needs patient in a clinic setting. The student demonstrates competency in oral prophylaxis, root surface debridement and detoxification. Students integrate newly introduced advanced techniques and technologies such as nitrous oxide conscious sedation, intraoral photography, phase contrast microscope, chemotherapeutics, and nutritional counseling. Students practice comprehensive patient case reporting.
